Dr. Adams

Dr. Jason P. Adams, D.O., is a board certified Plastic & Reconstructive surgeon with additional fellowship training in Hand Surgery.  This broad training allows him to practice a wide scope of Aesthetic & Reconstructive Plastic Surgery as well as Hand Surgery, all with particular emphasis on harmony and aesthetics.

While well respected by surgeons and medical professionals for his knowledge and technical expertise, patients appreciate his understanding and emphasis of holistic wellbeing.  As an Osteopathic surgeon, Dr. Adams has received all the surgical training one would expect but in addition was educated from a holistic perspective embodied by four principals:

1. A person is the product of dynamic interaction between body, mind, and spirit.

2. An inherent property of this dynamic interaction is the capacity of the individual for the maintenance of health and recovery from disease.

3. Many forces, both intrinsic and extrinsic to the person, can challenge this inherent capacity and contribute to the onset of illness.

4. Rational treatment is based upon and must incorporate an understanding of these basic principles of body unity, self-regulation, and the interrelationship of structure and function.

Application of these tenets along with advanced surgical training allows Dr. Adams to focus on a "boutique" practice of personalized patient care with particular attention to aesthetic detail.

Dr. Adams earned his medical degree from the prestigious Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Osteopathy's founding institution.  During his surgical residency, Dr. Adams trained extensively at Peninsula Hospital Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medical Center, and Westchester Medical Center.  Dr. Adams completed a post-graduate fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at St. Barnabas Hospital.  Prior to completing his post-graduate fellowship, Dr. Adams was fellowship trained at New York City's Lincoln Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center, with exposure to acute injuries and emphasis on reconstructive surgery.

He then completed fellowship training at Stony Brook University Medical Center, a Tertiary Care Center and Referral Center for Long Island, focusing on hand and microsurgery techniques.  His vast knowledge and skills acquired from his highly diverse and specialized training enable him to provide the utmost quality in patient care and safety.

Dr. Adams is committed to advancing the art and science of surgery. He continues to be an innovator, not just keeping up with the latest techniques and procedures, he holds multiple patents for surgical devices and works in an ongoing fashion to develop new technologies.
